This intensive three-day workshop is designed for artists and students

who want to push beyond realism in their figurative work. 

 

Working from a live model, students will make a series of quick sketches in clay, before working on a longer pose.  This pose will be the leaping-off point for a series of experiments in:  effective composition, exaggeration as expression, methods of abstraction, and evocative editing. 

 

Beginners, as well as seasoned sculptors, are welcome

to join us for this fabulous session.

 

 All instruction, model fees, tools, clay (up to 50 lbs),

and firings (for 3 pieces) are provided–

all you need to do is walk in the door!  Tuition: $325

 

 

Friday evening, August 3rd from 6:00pm to 10:00pm,
Saturday, August 4th from 10:00am to 6:00pm (with lunch break),
Sunday afternoon, August 5th  from 1:00pm to 6:00pm
